In engine stand tests, it is possible to conduct simulated tests in a low-pressure environment (high altitude) from standard atmospheric pressure. (Temperature and humidity adjustments are also possible.)
It is possible to control the pressure on the intake and exhaust sides of the engine, allowing for a simple simulation of high-altitude conditions without the need for large-scale facilities like low-pressure chambers.
